Gavin, the famous translator of ID

你们好,我是李明勇,我是中国人,我来自贵州织金. My English name is Gavin. I'm the translator for Sophie and Moliang (Bertrand) for ID project and Retour a la terre project. I'm 23 years old. I have been working for ID in Weining for 3 months. But I'm going to be an English teacher in months.

I came to Niupeng on 28th of August. We went to a village Which is callde Shuiyuan. We had a random walk in the village. We went to the top of a montain to view the whole village.

We had a random visit to the villages on 29th.
We interviewed an old woman in a village. She was alone at home because her children had gone th the market in Nuipeng town. We asked her questions about her family's life and work condition in the village.

The 2nd family we visited was very friendly. the hosts invited us sat in their room and talked with us patiently. We ask him most the same questions and added more questions. Such as where do you want to live if you have a living condition as good as the life in the city(He wants to live in the countryside, but his children would like to live in the city). And do you like to use a new way to better the soil without using fertiliser(They would like to try if it is not more difficult than using fertiliser and they can save a lot of money)
We met the 3rd peasant when we had a break on the road. He told us his family's life is better than the past time. For they have enough food to eat and feed their animals. And they can get financial help from the goverment. He believes that his family will live better and better in the future by the goverment's help.

Next, we will go to a village where pepole know ID to see their life.

I'm very pleased to work in these projects to know how the peasants' lifes are nowadays and what their needs are for farm works. As a Chinese who live in western China, talking about the peasants' life is an old topic. But the projects that we are doing now is new to others who wants to know more about China's peasant.
